@delo1945 Thank you for your encouraging comment and I am glad to hear that you had a good impression during stay in Japan. Absolutely! Now, Japan miss tourists more than ever. I hope the people who debate whether to visit Japan will understand that the affected area is very limited. Please say hello to your family ;-))

@MiniMiniTini We went in April and really enjoyed it. The people are so gracious and welcoming. They really want the tourists to return. We stayed 18 days and saw all the regular sites. You will enjoy it.
My husband and I visited our daughter in the Hiratsuka area ( 1 hour fromTokyo) in April and I also had friends that were worried about me. Let me tell you that everything was normal. We even had regular water at the restaurants. All the sites were open, even Disney opened when we were still there. Yes, that was a noticable lack of tourists but the people of Japan were so thankful that we had come. Don’t be worried about going. Japan is waiting to show you her beauty.

Nice to hear that information. My boyfriend and I are going to Japan in July. My mom is little worry about that becouse of the eartquake, so your iformation will make her calm. Thanks!
I stayed 3 weeks in Tokyo this May and Tokyo was just as normal as on my previous trips. I did have folks at the hotels I stayed at mention the lack of foreign visitors and it was sad that so many people are staying away because of unwarranted fears. Hope things go back to normal soon.
