People who say they take the Bible literally usually use scriptures to defend beliefs like homosexuality being wrong. They usually don’t realize all that the Bible says bc they work on Sundays, eat pig, don’t force rapists to marry their victim etc. It really is crazy when you think about the overlooked stuff in scripture.

@frickadele
Obama aka Soetoro…
is just like Clinton, Bush and all whores….
who pretend to like you…
and then fuck you…
and then leave you with a disease.
Obama aka Soetoro….
just like Clinton, like Bush, like all whores…
pretend that they like the people that the fuck.
They walk away with your money…
and leave you with disease.
@vazoomy Saying Atheism is a religion is like saying not smoking is a habit.
All us atheists are theists, I swear! The Greek god of knowledge
@vazoomy You are a retard. Keep your opinions to yourself.
@streetrace442 For anyone to claim Obama is a Muslim only proves how little they know of the Koran, Islam, comparative religions or any form of culture outside their own.
@vazoomy Like it or not, you don’t understand what an atheist is. Please keep your opinions to yourself, we are completely overwhelmed by so called Non-Religious-People who don’t have the foggiest idea what they’re talking about.
@vazoomy Thou shalt not bear false witness.
You can say that again, Sand Giant Carl!
@streetrace442 I’m sure you’ve read at least 6 or 7 verses from it.
How much of the Qu’ran have you read? Exactly.
Obama is a muslim–he is not a Christian. Anyone who knows the Bible knows good and well that he’s not a Chrsitan. For anyone to claim he’s a Christian only proves how little they know of the Bible or how low of an opinion they have of it. Take that anyway you want.

Dear Teller
You are a magician . Keep your opinions to yourself. We are completely overwhelmed by so called Atheists such as yourself. Like it or not Atheism is a religion. I am far from being a religious person myself.
religion has made a joke of the 2012 election. gingrich, repulsive as he is, knows washington, but he is left in the awkward position of defending the sanctity of marriage while serving divorce papers to his second wife. the same problem felled cain. romney at least knows how to broker deals, but the evangelicals don’t like him b/c he is not the right kind of christian. the same problem would fell huntsman if he were higher. the most christian candidates, bachmann and perry, are insane.
Penn Jillette: An Atheist’s Guide to the 2012 Election
as a friend of hitchens, gillette had an easy answer to his final question. religion makes morally average or above average people say and do wicked and evil things. bachmann is a sterling example. she is probably a decent person who seems sweet enough, but her religion makes her say and do stupid, wicked, and evil things.

@shabido1 right. I just think human consciousness could not and can not comprehend the concept of the creator of the universe and i think organized religion is bullshit. Hopefully it will make sense after death.
When someone says to me “I personally read about a chapter a day” and yet they still have such a distorted view of Christianity… keep reading Penn, obviously a chapter a day isn’t quite enough.
@Yayoballer Also, I find it sad that you couldn’t think of a more recent, and bigger negative affect religion has had on this country.
@Yayoballer He also ate food before making the decision. I guess thats the most ingesting has effected this country? Your point is stupid, as he would have invaded iraq whether he prayed or not.
Hey Penn dont you think we should try to promote “freeman atheism” as opposed to “collectivist atheism” you should be able to do whatever you want, think whatever you want. You can see these collectivists trying to “group” atheists into common ideology which really defeats the purpose of being an atheist in the first place (when they are so close to being truly free its sad to see them tricked).
Penn Jillette: An Atheist’s Guide to the 2012 Election
@MickeyCuervo36 Hey Mickey. Humans created all the things you find metaphorical, and you only find they metaphorical because you are human. Everything is relative to us. Our surroundings determine our subconscious, so we often decide instinctively, without reason. The truth is the absence of that determination.
Penn Jillette: An Atheist’s Guide to the 2012 Election
@flik221 Oh so you are an agnostic theist. I see nothing wrong with the part about believing in a ‘god’. It’s the part where you presume anything else that is just instinctive and not based on rationality.
“Beyond our understanding” means you can’t claim anything about it. Including what you did.
Guesses are guesses. Calling them knowledge is unfair and counterproductive.
That does not mean you are not 100% entitled to believe it of course.
Penn Jillette: An Atheist’s Guide to the 2012 Election
@NewToTheLyte Perhaps it’s because I’m from a very corrupt country, where illegality and cynicism are the norm, but I don’t see a multi-party system working.
Here, religion is completely divorced from politics and we have multiple parties competing for state, and what you have is completely uninformed voters who can’t bother themselves with researching every parties’ politics and terrible injustices being committed by the biggest parties.
A bunch of different thieves disputing a power seat.
